Asics GEL-Blackheath 6 Hockey Shoes Play hard in comfort and in style in the Asics GEL-Blackheath 6 Hockey Shoes. The latest addition to the series features rearfoot and forefoot GEL cushioning for additional comfort, along with the Asics DuoMax support system for extra stability whilst playing. These shoes are built with lightweight protection in mind, to keep you playing comfortably throughout your game. Reinforced Upper The Asics GEL-Blackheath 6 features a lightweight reinforced upper to ensure the longevity of the shoe. Tough synthetic materials are used in the construction to provide durability and protect the wearer from impacts and abrasions. Asics' PGuard rubber/resin composite compound features on the forefoot for increased durability and protection from impacts, whilst also allowing for breathability thanks to the air holes that maintain a comfortable environment within the shoe. A heel cradle provides additional support and protects the heel from impacts. The GEL-Blackheath 6 also features an Anti-Gravel Tongue with generous padding, which prevents debris from entering the shoe, whilst also providing cushioning for extra comfort and protection. The inside of the upper features a removable sockliner for added comfort, which can be removed to accommodate an orthotic device. Generous padding around the ankle collar finishes the upper to provide exceptional comfort. GEL Midsole Cushioning Asics have endeavoured to make the GEL-Blackheath 6 their most comfortable hockey shoe. Consequently, they have deployed two GEL cushioning units into the shoe's midsole: one in the forefoot, and one in the rearfoot. The GEL units provide exceptional cushioning for more comfortable feet, whilst absorbing impacts to reduce the strain on the wearer's joints, thereby making for a smoother ride
